AIHS @20 CEO Leadership Forum: Where Africa’s Housing Industry Leaders Shape the Future

As the Africa International Housing Show (AIHS) marks its 20th anniversary in 2026, one of the most anticipated highlights of the historic edition will be the AIHS @20 CEO Leadership Forum — a high-level gathering designed to bring together the most influential leaders in Africa’s housing and construction sector.

Scheduled to take place during the opening day of the event at the Transcorp Hilton Abuja, the forum will convene Chief Executive Officers of real estate companies, construction firms, mortgage institutions, building materials manufacturers, financial institutions and development partners to discuss the future of housing development across the continent.

For two decades, AIHS has served as the meeting point for Africa’s housing ecosystem, connecting governments, investors and private sector players committed to addressing the continent’s growing housing deficit. The CEO Leadership Forum is designed to elevate these conversations to the highest level of industry leadership.

According to Festus Adebayo, the initiative recognises the critical role played by CEOs and industry leaders in driving investment, innovation and large-scale housing development across Africa.

Housing transformation in Africa requires strong leadership, bold investment decisions and strategic partnerships. The AIHS CEO Leadership Forum provides a platform where the captains of Africa’s housing industry can exchange ideas, forecast trends and collaborate on solutions that will shape the future of our cities, he said.

The forum will focus on strategic issues affecting the growth of the housing sector, including access to affordable housing finance, innovative construction technologies, regulatory reforms and sustainable housing delivery models for Africa’s rapidly expanding urban population.

Industry leaders will also explore opportunities for cross-border partnerships, private sector collaboration and new investment models capable of accelerating housing delivery in African markets.

With Africa facing an estimated housing deficit of over 50 million units, stakeholders say stronger collaboration between governments, developers and financial institutions is essential to unlocking scalable housing solutions.

The AIHS @20 CEO Leadership Forum is expected to provide a unique environment where top executives can engage in frank, solution-driven conversations about the policies, investments and innovations required to transform Africa’s housing landscape.

Beyond discussions, the forum will also serve as a strategic networking platform where CEOs can connect directly with policymakers, investors and development partners seeking to expand their footprint in Africa’s rapidly growing housing market.

As the Africa International Housing Show celebrates two decades of driving housing conversations across the continent, the CEO Leadership Forum represents a new step in strengthening leadership dialogue within the industry.

For many stakeholders, the message is clear:

If the future of housing in Africa is being discussed, it will be discussed at AIHS.
