Malagén was selected as one of the IOO young global leaders according to the World Economic Forum (2O19), one of the IOO most successful CEOs in Colombia according to Gerente Magazine (2O2O), one of the IOO world’s most influential young people in public sector according to APOLITICAL (2O18), among other recognitions. Malagon is Senior Consultant on Housing and Urban Development and Visiting Fellow at 3FK School of Government at Harvard University. At the age of 33, he was appointed Minister of Housing, Cities and Sanitation of Colombia, a position he held for nearly 4 years, until March 2O22. Under his leadership, Colombia reached the hig hest level of sales, initiations and housing subsidies in its history, and the access for the first time to drinkable water for more than 2 million people, deserving the distinctions “World Champion of Affordable Housing, 2O21” and “Scroll of Honour, 2O2O”, the highest recognitions of the UN for the design of housing policy in the World.
